The DAC in Crookston and EGF have been busy with paper shredding. It is a service we have been providing for some time, but one we are wanting to expand. We were fortune enough to get funded by United Way for three industrial size shredders. This happens to be one of the favorite work tasks. I would have to guess it is the favorite because it is a sit down task and it is repetitive. Many of our clients find that relaxing. Another benefit this task provides is closure. There is a beginning point (pile of papers) and an end point (when the pile is gone). It sounds rather simple, but this task has clear definition with very little decision making, thus it is comforting to our clients.
We currently shred papers for: RiverView Hospital, Crookston Fire Department, UMC, Biermaier Chiropratic, Bert’s Truck, EGF City, Water and Light, EDHA, Aurora Clinic and a host of individuals.
Want your shredding: If you have any shredding needs, we would like to assist you! This is a win-win situation! We only charge $.18 a pound which is a thrid of the cost of competitors. We win because we are providing an excellent activity that nearly every individual can perform, we are paying our clients for a functional task that has purpose and makes them feel proud and they enjoy doing it. We have locking garbage cans on wheels for easy transport and for confidentiality. We make it easy and send you out a bill once a month.
We provide other services such as making garbage bags in a variety of sizes and we make fire starters for your fire place or your camp fire at the lake.
